Market Costs:
Unloading Fees are $0.15/lb for all unloading hubs and may be lower depending on species and contract volume. Unloading includes culling, icing, grading and 24 hours of cold storage in most facilities.
All fees are split equally among buyers and sellers; i.e. Atlantic Cod would cost 10.5 cents to buyer and 10.5cents to seller including unloading. (15cents unloading + 6cents market fee) = 21cents / 2 = 10.5cents
Transportation costs are reflected in FOB on a per contract basis and negotiated between buyers and sellers.
All checks are cut by Open Ocean Trading directly to vessels upon landing. All buyers must pay open invoices by the end of the business week to resume trading.
